I went for my second visit looking into drg simulator; I told doctor that I was concerned about drg complications affecting my bathroom duties; he said, your pudendal nerve has nothing to do with bm and urinating; I told him bm causes pn pain; he did not say anything; I forgot to tell him if I try to hold a bm that cause pn pain; he is a doctor so I did not fell knowledgeable enough to argue with him; what are your comments?

What kind of doctor is he? I don’t know enough about stimulators to know if the doctor has to be familiar with all the aspects of pudendal neuralgia or is he has to just be trained to install the unit in a way that it is likely to benefit you. Have you been able to find other PN patients who used this doctor?

I have the same questions you do; I don't think he has installed a drg on a pn patient. He says he trains 80 percent of doctors in the US on how to do the drg operation.
With that said I think he is lacking knowledge concerning Pudendal Neuralgia. He said he treated on PN patient with a botox injection successfully. There are other red flags
I am concerned about.

I am having a hard time finding anybody that has PN that has had the drg procedure done with any success. I would really like to hear success stories; all I am hearing is people with complications.
There is one guy on this site that says it saved him, but when I email him he does not respond. I am also looking into having this done for my feet as well as my PN.

Dr Cory Hunter is a pain management doctor in NY City and he offers DRG. He founded Ainsworth Institute and has done trials on DRG and has had good results.

Are there any doctors in the UK who perform this procedure?

Like yourself one of the things that always increases my pain is a bowel movement. Maybe it is the contraction of the intestines or the stool moving through the area but I am in the same situation as you are. I had a drg stim trial last year at this time. The position of the leads was L1 and S2. The man you are referring to had his leads placed at S2 and 3 which makes more sense to me however apparently across the nation they are using the sites I had. I would love to do this again using the lower places. I am concurrently trying to find someone to do a trial of the drg or scs at the lower places. Having not one single day free of this discomfort in over 26 years is doing me in big time. I am exhausted all the time! Also I had my trial at an outpatient pain facility of one of the biggest hospitals in Boston with no sedation other than a 5 mg valium tablet...absolutely inhumane!
