Amniotic Allograft Injection with Botox

Post by BowiePost »

Hello everyone!
This is my first post, so be kind. :)

After dealing with mysterious hip pain for the past 2 years, I finally gave in and had the Amniotic Allograft injection and Botox (vaginally). I just had it done this past week. We’ll see how it goes. The first few days, I felt super sore (like it hurt to even lightly cough), but all in all, it wasn’t that bad. I had it done in-office to save a little money, which means I was awake for ten or so internal injections! It wasn’t my favorite experience, but for us that deal with chronic pain, I guess we’ve learned to handle what others probably couldn’t.

Has anyone else had this procedure done? Just wondering what “progress” looks like. So far, about a week out, the soreness from the shots has almost gone. But I feel the same tightness in my pelvic floor. I think i’ve noticed an increase in muscle spasms down there and around my leg. I wonder if that’s normal?

I was originally told I could expect to see results around 6 weeks, but I’m just wondering if increased muscle spasms are apart of the healing process

Ps: there’s not a lot of info about the amniotic procedure online, so if you have questions about how the procedure goes, i’m happy to share. I’ll try to remember to post updates.

Welcome to the forum, BowiePost. Thanks for all the info on your amniotic allograft and botox. The reports on these two treatment on this forum are mixed, but I think I've heard more positive outcomes about the botox. I'll be interested to see how it goes for you. Who did it? What other treatments have you tried?
