Block might nick pudendal nerve and thus exacerbate pudendal nerve pain.
Could such pudendal nerve pain arising from block injury damage pudendal nerve and such pain will be persistent forever?
Does anyone has such experience?

I had the Botox procedure to the pelvic floor - 300 units - plus a bilateral pudendal nerve block.
Since the procedure 8 weeks ago I have descended into daily horrific nerve pain which did not exist before.
I too am now looking suspiciously at the nerve block as a possible cause.

Thank you for your response.
Could your pain attribute to nerve compression?
Peripheral nerve, such as pudendal nerve, can heal automatically though the healing process may be various.

A nerve block can absolutely create a pain flare. I had them with both of the blocks I did, and I've heard many people report the same thing on this forum. I always assumed the flares are created by the steroid irritating the nerve. I'm not sure if the needle could damaging the nerve, but it does seem possible that it could hit the nerve and damage it. The nicking might be especially possible when they are done without imaging. Violet or others who have medical training might know more about this possibility. Have you contacted your doctor about this? I would call the office and explain what you are going through in case you can get more information.

I would give anything to be in the condition I was in before my 2nd nerve block in 2002.

I had an Alcock canal nerve block in June if this year. It made my symptoms worse. Everyday I get worse. I cannot walk, sit or urinate without pain. Did your pain ever subside? I am afraid the technician nicked the nerve.
