Invitation to participate

Hi Everyone,

My name is Zoya Reid and I am an MSc student in Health Psychology at the University of Derby, UK. For my Independent Studies project, I am conducting a study to investigate the experience of people who were diagnosed and are living with Pudendal Neuralgia.

Participation will involve you giving an interview about your lived experience of being diagnosed and living with Pudendal Neuralgia. The interview will be conducted via Skype or Facebook chat service. You will be asked approximately 10 main open questi ons and the interview will take approximately one hour. It is desirable if during the interview you can reflect and elaborate on your experience of being diagnosed and living with Pudendal Neuralgia, as well as the impact it had on your life, giving as many details as you can.

In addition, you will also be asked to complete a short demographic questionnaire about your age, gender, nationality and profession.

Inclusion criteria

Participants must

• have a medical diagnosis of Pudendal Neuralgia
• be native English speakers or fluent in English
• be 18+ years old
• be male or female
• be willing to talk about their experience of living/coping with Pudendal Neuralgia

Exclusion criteria

The candidates with learning difficulties, mental health conditions and life-threatening diseases (e.g. cancer) are excluded from this study.

Participation is voluntary and you can decide to withdraw from the research at any time during the interview and during the next 14 days without giving a reason. Before arranging the interview, you will be asked to consent to the study by ticking an appropriate box in the consent form that will be sent to you via email.

If you are interested in participating, or simply would like to have more information, please contact me at the following email address:

I would like to thank you in advance in case you decide to participate in this study.

Best wishes

Zoya Reid
