Hi
3 years with symtoms electric shock sensation of scrotum, rectum pain during touching and pression, erection dysfunction, numb penis and rectum, penis glans burning sensation same time when I think about sex, imposible to reach sexual arousal. Those symptoms follow prostatic massage from public health service.
I wondering if is posible to irritaded pudental nerve by prostatic massage managment by doctor. As far I know this typical nerve are around anal canal. So I presume if doctor wasent careful enough than he press those nerve to much. I didnt recover even after 3 years. Definitely my penis are more numb when I in work and doing physical job.
My question is is this possible to demage nerve so badly throw prostatic message ?
How close is this nerve to rectum ?
May I reach by finger this nerve myself during examination at home to check is is painfull when I touching ?
Please reply and sory if similar topics I was made allready.

I think it would be difficult to reach the nerve yourself but someone who does a digital rectal exam would be able to reach it. You might be able to reach it if you knew exactly where to press. Men who do self-myofascial release of the pelvic floor typically use a special type of wand.

The pudendal nerve runs between the levator ani muscle and the obturator internus muscle which are two of the main muscles that make up the pelvic floor that you would press on via the rectum. A branch comes off the pudendal nerve and innervates the anal sphincter. A rectal exam might trigger the pain but not likely unless there was already some underlying problem. The reason I say that is because men have digital rectal exams all the time without developing chronic pain. That is just my understanding but I'm not a guy. Hopefully some guys will respond to your question.
