Dr. Aszmann

Post by winged_cent »

Hi all:

After thinking and thinking as to the "less-invasive" surgical methods that are out there, I have been corresponding with Dr. Aszmann in Vienna, who recommends that I do an anterior decompression of the perineal and dorsal nerves. My symptoms are some loss of sensation on the left side of the penis, coupled with burning/tingling sensation in the perineal that is particularly triggered with sitting, as well as some associated muscle pain. The symptoms are not severe, but they have been ongoing for 5 years, and I feel that the sensory loss is progressing.

I understand that Dr. Aszmann's "anterior" approach is not very invasive in terms of post-surgical pain, but that many people who have got this surgery have had some improvement, only to become re-entrapped by post-surgical scar formation or something else, because the inferior pubic ramus canal area is so small and tight.

Is there anyone out there who has been permanently helped by this procedure?
