Trigger point injections

HI folks,
I hope all are doing well. I haven't visited the site in a while, as per the advice of medical providers, (to stay off the internet sites). It has been the right choice for me.

I have a question though, that I haven't found an answer to yet, anywhere else.

I am considering Trigger pt, injections to my painful area( the anal/ rectal opening and just outside of it).

A Pelvic Center in NYC advised them for me. They seem quite savvy and caring but they are recommending a series of injections ( at least 6).
Is this necessary? Or can one tell from one injection or two? whether it will help?

Could anyone who has had these injections or is contemplating them, pls reply?

I have another question with regards to trigger pts. but this one is the most important ..The next one would depend on the answer to this question!
Thanks you so much for any replies. I have to make a decision soon, and the logistics for having several injections would be complicated and expensive due to the NYC location of the doctor's office.
