I hope the above link works. If not, try to go to losethebackpain.com or thehealthybackinstitue.com

You'll be looking for the Infrared Healing Pad. You could also just google Infrared Healing Pad.

I can personally say that this heating pad helped me so much with buttock muscles that automatically tightened up the second I sat down. I would "clench up" to try to protect myself from the pain sitting brought on. I had been using regular heating pads and sitting on them, and it was like day and night once I used the infrared Pad! That pad REALLY goes DEEPER and helped melt my tight glutenal muscles like nothing I had tried before, including PT deep tissue massages.

I started using this pad BEFORE I found my correct dx of pnn or pne, which was just in late Sept. 2010. By then, I had used the pad all day & night for a year or more, anytime I was in a sitting position, which was allot, because I did not know it was a “nerve condition”. I was just trying to get my buttock muscles to relax and not be in a knot every time I sat down. And it felt SO GOOD to sit on this warm pad instead of cold ice pads all the time.

If you are suffering with tight muscles anywhere, IMHO, the Infrared Healing Pad is worth the pricey investment of around $160.00. One other piece of information. The manufacture backed up its product when I had issues with my pad that was just barely out of warranty, they sent me a new pad.
My only concern, now that I know my pain is due to a nerve, is it wise to put heat to an inflamed nerve? I guess IF, you have really tight muscles that need to be relaxed, that are in an area where they could be putting pressure on that nerve, then perhaps heat, and then end with ice would be called for. Perhaps some of you who are in PT could ask your therapist.
