What do they mean by remove? I've heard of cryoablation of the nerves which can be very successful but only after having a nerve block that confirmed the diagnosis that these nerves were the cause of the pain. Have you had diagnostic nerve blocks confirming that diagnosis yet?

From what I was told by a PNE specialist, a combination of numbness (or loss of sensation) in the distribution area of the blocked nerve plus temporary relief of pain in the same area after the nerve block would help to confirm the diagnosis. I had partial relief of pain after nerve blocks but never complete relief and that was enough to confirm the diagnosis.

You can do a search on posts by someone with username "acw" on this forum for more information on her successful results from cryoablation of the ilioinguinal nerve.
