Not sure exactly what you mean by sacral injections ? SI joint. I had caudal epidural coccyx block and ganglion impar block with zero results. No more blocks for me.

14 months ago I had a CT-guided left S2 nerve block, my first injection attempt to improve sacral & rectal pain caused by the sacral neurostim. I got at least 75% relief. It got me through shoulder surgery, and 3 weeks later the most comfortable plane trips I've had in many years. The block even stopped the bowel frequency for weeks, and also gave some improvement in vaginal wall stuff which I didn't anticipate. The block gradually wore off; got maybe 8 week of help (don't recall). I had the same radiologist perform the same block a few months later, but got minimal and short-term relief. I don't know what he did different, but based on location of immediate numbness and pain relief, he didn't hit the right spot. Haven't gone back, though I definitely could use another block. I've been dealing with pain and nerve issues in unrelated areas. I'm glad I tried, at least I learned that relief of sacral & rectal pain is possible.
