Hi everyone,
Just wanted to possibly add a new PT to the list. This one is located in my hometown of Lincoln, NE. Her name is Amy Owens and I had a very good first experience with her. I went in today for a pelvic floor evaluation, expecting her to tell me that I had a hypertonic pelvic floor. Instead she found that I had some weakness on one side. She doesn't believe that I have nerve issues, but I mentioned PN to her and she said she has experience treating patients with PN. She did some biofeedback with me, as well as using a TENS machine. I discussed the issue of PN with her, and she seemed knowledgeable on the subject. It's refreshing knowing that the number of medical professionals that know about PN/PNE is growing, and that it isn't always necessary to travel a long distance to receive care. I will try to provide updates in the coming weeks regarding diagnosis/progress.
