ketamine

Hi Everyone
Does anyone here know anything about ketamine cystitis? My bladder symptoms (mostly a regular urge to pee, and hesitancy with emptying,)seem to have worsened since I recently started used a rectal suppository containing 5mg of ketamine. The above bladder issues has been symptoms of mine for years but MAY have worsened due to the rectal supps.. I have tried to get more info from another support group I belong to -the IC Network -but am having trouble logging in..
So I thought Id re-check here..
Anyway, I am stopping this suppository as it failed to help with pain control, but I just wondered how long before its effects will leave my system?
I know that my fear of this symptom occurring can ironically increase my bladder urge/hesitancy! I did have ketamine infusions in 2011 without any effects positive or negative, but my body may've changed since then..Who knows?
Any info regarding ketamine cystitis would be greatly appreciated. I want to let this this worry go!
I'm pretty sure (as are my medical folks that the 5mg in this suppository is probably too small an amount to bother my bladder, and have only taken a few of these supps total --- over the past six days). My bladder varies ...good days/bad days etc. but up until last week I was starting to be able to add more and more of the IC 'no no' foods/beverages back into diet, as my problems seem to be more pelvic floor muscle oriented. This week I'm flaring, but any medicine changes always gets my 'worrying' going --so that could be causal!!
Would it be likely to get ketamine cystitis from this small amount of the drug? I doubt it - but would rest more easily and probably relax my spastic muscles - my real pain source, if i knew the suppository was not the "culprit"!
Ths for reading and listening!
Best wishes All..
Kathy
