Questions for Dr. Jason Attaman

Hello good Doctor, greetings from Mexico. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge with us. I can frankly say that we can't thank you enough for this.
I was hoping if you could answer a couple more questions..
1.- From your patients that have had positive pudendal blocks, or any blocks targeted at nerves for that matter, how much of them get significant or prolonged relief from just the block after the steroids have had time to kick in? I mean is the block meant to be exclusively diagnostic, or have you had cases that also improve with just the blocks?
2.- What percentage of the positive PN block patients do you remember had sphincter issues, or even ED in the case of men?
3.- Do any of these had a history of viral infection (ie, herpes or any other related that could affect nerve ganglia)?.
4.- Could you share the general, clear or more obvious symtpoms that these patients described? Was there a particular event that triggered their symptoms ie, physical trauma like a fall in the buttocks, for ex, or were there also patients that did not had such an event.
5.- If block is negative, what are other most common sources to look into and continue the diagnostic? SIJD? Coccys issues? Sacral fissures or lessions? Would repeating a block in these areas be the recommended steps to follow up?
Was going to PM you personally, but thought I share the discussion with others, hope you or anybody else dont mind.
Thanks in advance!
