Can needing a hip replacement be causing painful PN or PNE?

Hi all,

So glad to have found this site. My head has been spinning with serious pain from everything pelvis, for the last three years. I've seen many specialists and finally got my hip looked at recently. I was told by a top NYC ortho, that I def have necrosis and bone collapse and he also dais it wouldn't be causing any nerve pain in the pelvis. My p/t is suspicious of this answer and so am I.

I have a phone consult scheduled for next week, with a leading PNE surgeon and am hoping he will tell me to proceed with the hip replacement, before possibly getting PNE surgery. Not sure what's worse at this point. The nerve pain is so intense. I'm terrified if he pain of hip rehab in the nerve pain, unless it relieves some nerve pain by getting the hip fixed?

Anyone have any experience with this odd quandry?

Thanks for any words of wisdom.

Best wishes to you all. I pray for everyones' health and happiness:).

Hope

Hope,
Have you gotten any answers on the hip replacement and pn being associated? At this point I rather new hip than a Labral repair. Ugh. DakotaGirl
