Can anyone recommend a trusted Ketamine clinic (high doses) that is within an hour flight of Toronto, Canada?

You can join the Ketamine Klub on Facebook as they keep a running list of all the doctors in the US who perform Ketamine infusions. The two that I can think of closest to you are:

Dr. Thakur at the Pain Clinic in Rochester, NY. They do a 10 day outpatient protocol first and then determine how regular you need infusions depending on the benefit you get from the 10 day outpatient. They also do Lidocaine infusions. Last I knew they start off at 100 mg over about 4 hours then work their way to see how high over the following days they can get you. There goal is 325 mg but I do not know how often they make it that high. There are a lot of factors that play into how high they go with each individual and it is very personalized. The nurses who administer the infusions are absolutely fantastic. Dr. Thakur is a very gentle and caring physicians. I've been treated by her for the last 2 years so we are there every 6 weeks for my ketamine infusions. My medical care with them has been really outstanding.

There is Dr. Enrique Aradillas Lopez in the Neurology Department at Drexel. He took over for Dr. Schwartzmann who was the guru of CRPS. They do a 5-day inpatient in the ICU. they are also doing other treatments for patients with CRPS such as plasmaphresis but there are certain requirements that you have to meet for them to try that but I am not sure what they are. After the 5-day inpatient I believe you go back every 3 months for a 2 day booster infusion. The wait list to get in there is almost 2 years. However, from individuals that I've spoken to that go to Drexel have great things to say about Dr. Lopez and the treatment you get there.

There are several doctors in NYC who do Ketamine infusions but I do not know anything about them.

Hi Nyt!
Do you have the phone number for the pain clinic in Rochester? I tried looking it up on the Internet and can't get a phone number.....
I was actually booked for 3 days of lidocaine infusions here in Toronto, Canada in one week (Oct 6-10) and just received a phone call getting cancelled! I waited for 6 months for these appointments. The excuse was "the other patient is an emergency". Wow! So now I have to wait 6 more months. I'm done! I need to cross the border and pay myself for the lidocaine infusions. Would you have any idea how much the infusions cost? I am going to try to get my health insurance to cover it but I think I am going to have to pay for it. I don't know if I can afford it. I can't wait 6 more months. I am getting very frustrated. I had to have all of my surgeries in Phoenix. No surgeons in this country can help with PN surgery, specific nerve blocks, mesh removal, etc.... Wait times are pathetic in Canada.

Take care!

Lara

Thank you NYT. I contacted them today and they are no longer accepting out patients at this time and do not foresee this to change in the distant future. It would seem there are not many clinics in NY using Ketamine and the ones that are have very long wait times (years). Can anyone recommend any other states using Ketamine?

Sorry to hear that Dr. Thakur is no longer accepting new Ketamine patients. I knew a while back they were getting a lot of patients and had hired another nurse so they could do two infusion patients a day. There is such a need. If you join the Ketamine Klub on Facebook they keep a running list of doctors who are accepting patients. There are several doctors in NYC and NJ area that do Ketamine. The doctor in Philly has a two year wait list. I no longer belong to the Ketamine Klub FB group otherwise I would look up the names for you.
