Alcohol injections

Does anyone know of anyone who has had alcohol injections to the pudendal area?
The only person I remember posting on the PN forums was a guy whose wife had tailbone pain and she had a successful ganglion impar injection without phenol but it didn't last very long so eventually she went for the one with phenol and it lasted much longer. Phenol is neurodestructive so it does damage the nerve and you could be incontinent if you had it to the main trunk of the pudendal nerve or the inferior rectal branch.
