Oh my.... it's been so very long and I'm almost embarrassed to be checking in after being absent for over a year. I am not even sure if some of the old people are still active. Of course, I know you are Violet. I checked the site and see that I had a few messages and I PM'ed those individuals. I just wanted to say "hello" and not go into too much detail because not sure if any of the old gang is still here that I knew. I did drop out for a while due to the fact that my husband had a very bad cancer. I think I wrote about it. Miraculously, he is in remission and doing well. As for me, I am doing pretty well and remain on a good pain management program that keeps my pain in check. Anyway... before I go on about things, just wanted to say hi to everyone on the board.
All my best,
Cora

Onset PN/PFD/centralized pain in Oct 06 after years of athletics, nursing career and dog training. PT for two years with improvement, now go for tune-ups and pain management. Stopped Cymbalta, was on M.S. Contin, then Kadian, and briefly Methadone for pain management, now off those meds and pain is well managed with Buprenorphine. Followed my pain management specialist.
Re: Cora, Checking In
Hi Cora,
Yes, I'm still here. Thanks for checking in. Like you, most people find a way to manage their pain so many of the old gang have moved on with their lives which is a good thing. Hope things continue to go well for you and your husband.
Best,
Violet

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
