Hi Folks
For the folks in the NY NJ Pa metro area, what specialists are you seeing for your PN or IC or PFD issues?
I was a patient of Dr Deborah Coady's. Since she retired in 2012, I have been lost, and my condition lately has been deteriorating.
I have not had much luck with local pain management . The intervention they tried seems to be aggravating my issues. Each day I have problems with peeing and with bowel issues while my anal pain just makes its hard to get thru a day. I may possibly head out CA to see Dr Joshua Pragaer.. The trip wll be hard.
Meanwhile I wonder is there anyone in our area worth seeing to once more try to get to the root of things. I had seen Dr Coady's colleague Dr H..last year but she seemed so busy after inheriting all of Dr Coady's patients, and she referred me to pain mgmt.I wondered how she is doing now with patients like me.
I have thought of Dr Thakur (Dr Howards successor). I have seen several specialists tho, so wonder if its worth seeing her before first heading out west. My husband is so tired of dragging me to docs so,
My main desire is just some relief!
Id appreciated any responses!
Thx!
Kathy

I am in dire need of help for my PN/PNE. I wondered if you found relief and if so, which dr's after Deborah Coady retired did you see and would you recommend? Thanks you

Rose, it all depends on where you live, what types of treatments you have tried, your history of how you became ill, etc. Have you had your symptoms for very long?

Hi Rose,
I live in NJ and a was a patient of Dr Coady's.
Just wanted to let you know her partner Dr Dena Harris took over when she retired. She works at SoHo Obygyn.
She is very nice..and easy to talk to.

I haven't seen her in awhile. I have been working with a local PT as my issues are more pelvic floor related.

I hope that Dr Harris can help you or direct you as to what can help. She is a good place to start if you are in the NY metro area.
Take care,
Kathy
