I believe GregT did, you may want to PM him.
PN started 2004 from fall. Surgery with Filler Nov. 2006, Dr. Campbell April 2007. Pain decreased by 85% in 2008 (rectal and sitting pain resolved completely), pain returned in 12/13. Pain reduced significantly beginning around 11/23.

Have you tried a ganglion impar block?

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

Hi coccyx pain is one of my major symptoms, i had this first before all of the other nasty effects of PN. I can sit with the pain but when i release the pressure on standing the pain is horrendous. does this sound like what you have?

Yes it's my main symptom and I haven't found a cure. Also worse when pressure is released feels like my tailbone is broken

Hi there
Yes there there can be a assocation with the coccyx and PN it is usally overlooked , As the sacrotuberous ligament has a partial attachment to the coccyx , so if you have a dislocated coccyx etc , you can get PN now you will need to get a dynamic x-ray go to http://www.coccyx.org . There is also agood article by Til Lauchau
http://www.abmp.com/textonlymags/articl ... rticle=396 a good read about the coccyx and PN .

If the coccyxgeaus muscle is tight and hard it will push the tailbone out of place and also makes you have the feeling of a broken tailbone. A highly trained pelvic physical therapist can loosen the muscle internally via the rectum but it will take several visits.

I have something like PN and underwent a partial Coccygectomy. While I really happy I did it, the relief came because the bone was shaped like a tail. It did not help my PN symptoms at all; in fact, there is a cut on my rear that sometimes gets pressure/tender (or whatever happens) and really hurts because of the scar.
