I can't seem the pain down this week where I can function. I take Nucynta 100mg and it is not working. I put on Lidocaine patches to if they will help. I am getting dicourage becuase the pain dr here has no clue and primary dr says she can't help me. I am planning to contact a dr I found on this forum list in South Carolina. Please pray this dr can help me.

Hi missyrg - if it has definitely been identified that your pain is neuropathic pain, then there are plenty of other meds that may help you.
Neuropathic pain is treated differently from other sorts of pain. 'Normal' painkillers usually do not help. Many of us are on a combination of an antidepressant and an anticonvulsant, it is a case of finding the combination of drugs that works best for each person. Have your doctors tried anything like this for your pain?
And you might want to look into non-drug therapies as well - many of us find TENS helpful, for instance. In the meantime, remember to use ice! - and I hope that you feel better soon.

Thank you for your reply! Yes, I take Cymbalta 60mg. I also take Zannax .5mg 1 per day. My tens unit is not working becuase of the battery pack. They are sending me a new one. I forgot to say my pelvic is misaligned inthat it shifts on the right side. My gyno said the pain is in the deep lower part of my pelvic area and he thinks it is the pudenal nerve.
