epididymitis or pudendal nerve problems

I have had a spinal cord virus followed by Transverse Myelitis, but prior to that have done alot of cycling, and also suffered every few years with recurrent epididymitis. I saw a Urologist the other day wo said i could have chronic epididymitis, and possibly need an op to remove the tubes causing the problem, but as I have had a Neurological problem he suggests i get the PN checked out first, just to ensure it is not that before i go down the surgical route. Has any other men had the same experiences?
