I know that a few people have mentioned this in other posts so thought I would share this from Healthy happy people

Low magnesium may trigger muscle spasms, which increase pain.
Magnesium is needed to regulate sleep cycles, balance hormones and reduce anxiety, so it is especially beneficial for insomnia.
Magnesium is found in green, leafy vegetables, meat and milk and may also be taken as a supplement.
Take 200mg of a chelated form-it’s easier to absorb and is not so harsh on the stomach-before bed.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

Re: Magnesium
I'm currently taking 500mg of magnesium now. I started off with 50mg, then up to 100mg, then 150mg & so on. I have Restless Legs Syndrome, & sometimes it's really bad. I'm not sure if it's the Mg that makes my tummy sound & feel strange. I'm considering cutting back to 400mg again, but after last night, 500mg didn't even work.
I'm prone to constipation, so all these meds that say might cause diarrhea don't for me.. They maybe make me 'normal' if anything.
I'm not sure how well the Mg has worked to reduce anxiety. This past couple of weeks has been a bit stressful for me, & I haven't noticed much of a difference in my anxiety levels.
Maybe I'm taking the wrong kind? Mine's extra strength, easy absorption Magnesium (oxide, malate, glycerophosphate)..

On the road of discovery to see what is causing my PGAD.
