my computer has a plug in missing so I cant hear it.
Anyone can help with a link?
I have a mac.
Chronic Pain pudendal area for 3 years, after a hard jolt to right side.
18 months later discovered sprained/fused sacro-illiac injury. Told to 'live with it' then saw this forum October 2011 = symptoms matched. Attempting to get this investigated in the face of lack of skilled docs in New Zealand.
Been told I have IC Dec 2011
FINALLY - 3T MRI in Christchurch 5th May 2012 - Pudendal nerve block, unguided 8th June 2012 - still waiting on results and progress from these.

Here is the link to ABC Radio National's talk back on pelvic pain. A huge leap forward in the crusade to raise awareness of PN.

Have my life back. 90% cured. No longer have medical appts.or physio. Some pain remains but is tolerable. 2012 Flew from Australia to the UK without pain flare. Very manageable. Almost back to normal. Now hold support group meetings at KEMH Subiaco Perth WA. Every 2nd Sat. of the month. Still pace my activities. PN doesn't dominate any more.

Thanks for this, it was excellent and so much covered in the time available.
Australian national figures for pelvic pain must be researched as it has been found that in Britain 'our' group of sufferers is as big as that for asthma, (as mentioned on the show, for Australia) and that of back pain. http://www.nationalpainaudit.org/media/ ... t-2012.pdf
At last something is being done about this in Britain, through our NHS.
Once they realise the epic proportions of people affected, the time and money wasted on missed and mis diagnosis, unnecessary treatments and procedures it can only make sense to tackle the problem.
Fall 2008. Misdiagnosed with lumber spine problem. MRN June 2010 indicated pudendal entrapment at Alcocks canal. Diagnosed with complex variant piriformis syndrome with sciatic, pudendal and gluteal entrapment's by Dr Filler 2010.Guided piriformis botox injection 2011 Bristol. 2013, Nerve conduction test positive; new spinal MRI scan negative, so diagnosed for the 4th time with pelvic nerve entrapment, now recognised as Sciatic, pudendal, PFCN and cluneal nerves at piriformis level.
