gabapentin cream and other meds

Hi Folks
A quick question.
I have started a new med .... gabapentin topical cream used at the area of my throbbing anal/ rectal pain.. this time just externally around anal opening. My doc says its fine to continue with the use of my Diluadid suppositories (which help sometimes a little, sometimes not) I also usually use Flector topical patches on the site of the pain. Again they help keep me sane, they don't do too much, but they are part of my current bag of tricks.
Would it be ok to use still use the Flector patches (as the topical cream will have to be used for at least a few days before I know if it will offer relief...a cumulative effect.
I will need those patches.
I applied the cream once several hours agp and Im sure it was absorbed.
Is it safe to now use the Flector patches also ... I need it for pain relief...haven't heard back from doc yet.. (she emails her answers.
I would assume that its fine, but wondered if any of you with more experience with these meds would know.
Thx for any info as always guys!
