Has pt helped or cured anyone with nerve entrapment?

Just wondering if I should explore a more aggressive form of pt for my nerve entrapment that resulted from a vaginal delivery. I have been through a surgery with Marvel, to free the nerves in the perineal branch. Asa result, have even more scar tissue. I think my area o entrapment is in the deep perineal nerve that maybe he couldn't reach? Thoughts? Before I have another surgery?

Warmly,

Kara

HI Kara,
Sorry to hear you're still having such a hard time! There are sooooo many nerves that innervate the perineal area. Which branches did you have surgically addressed with Dr. Marvel?
Has he provided you with any input as to where he thinks your pain may be coming from? What type of surgery are you considering?
Warm regards,
Karyn

Kara, what type of PT are you trying now and what would be included in a more aggressive form of PT? There is always a fine line between mobilizing tissue and causing more nerve damage. So, as Peter Dornan suggests in his interview on our homepage you just have to be careful about increasing your pain levels with PT that is too aggressive. So maybe try it but if it causes a flare-up rather than helping then that should raise some red flags.
