I am trying to find a way to donate to hope in a safe manner. The current ways are not secure so people at my office were wondering if there was an address they could sent a check in for a donation? Otherwise I will find a different way they can respond to my brother's passing (they also emailed a question with no response yet, as well as myself external to the forum). I would like to have folks support HOPE but need a good and safe way for them to do that. Also no in memory for family to get notice (my previous question). Also trying to figure who best in the forum to send this too. Thanks

I'm sorry to hear of your brother's passing -- and at such a young age. Thank you for telling your co-workers about HOPE.

If your friends/family go to our home page and click on "I want to donate" on the left it will take them to this link: http://www.pudendalhope.info/node/73 Scroll down to the bottom to the donate button and click on it to access the secure paypal website. (Websites with an https prefix are secure websites.) Payments can be made with a credit card or through a paypal account to HOPE and a receipt will automatically be sent from paypal to your e-mail address if you wish to have it mailed there. Here is paypal's claim about their security:

HOPE pays a small percentage of each transaction to Paypal for this service. If someone prefers to send a check directly to HOPE they can make checks payable to:

If they provide an address with the check, they will be sent a tax deductible receipt.

I have not received any e-mails about this in the admin contact e-mail box which does seem to be in working order as I frequently receive emails there. Do you know where they sent their questions to? Many thanks and if I can find out why they said there was an issue I will pass it forward. I honestly just needed to follow up on their concern and we will use the address for now. thanks for your condolences as well.

Hi again Violet,
I looked at the page at work and now again at home (not sure if you updated but a few items were much better at home so it could be a partial filtering thing). The concern was that I don't think the work version had any HOPE info and so it seemed that you were taken to somewhere else... This is a bit scary to think you are no longer where you thought. Even still at home the look and feel of the page, banners, coloring for background, etc did not match the other pages of the website and not even the initial donate page. This made it seem much older and thus gives the idea that if the page info is data the paypal info may also be old. Again the work look did not have the fields lined up and some of the distortion of having like the field name on one line the box on the next appearing scattered may be filtering. My suggestions would be to replicate the banners and coloring as closely to the main hope home page so that you truly feel as well as see the hope info on the donation page where you enter your credit card info. Just the opposite was I saw the lock on the work version but not on the home. Differences can appear due to different browsers and how they interpret the code (FIrefox versus Microsoft), sometimes tough to get them the same but there may be some room for improvement to get them closer. I do not unfortunately have the background to guide you on the exact code changes but am trying to relay the look that should change or differences so someone can update. A good example to review would be Amazon. Sorry for the criticism as I now realize there are some factors beyond the simplest control but I do indeed want us on our best face to invite people to donate rather than have them in doubt and then not donate. The wounded warrior I cited for the in memory donations is also a good example of keeping the same look throughout their pages with banners, etc and just the changing the center main points for the pages. They will be submitting the donation via the address you provided and there may be more as an announcement is forthcoming at work and others may want to donate, I hope so!
Thanks and again please accept my apologies for the criticism - if had seen the version I saw earlier today it really was a significant change and very much seemed out of place in comparison to the calming atmosphere of the forum pages, etc.

I appreciate your feedback Janet. I had no idea that was happening, as all appears great from my computer, including the HOPE logo and banner on the donate page. I will give our webmaster this info and see what he has to say.

I will try to see again if I can access it from MS browser at work and see how that looks and I will PM you with where I work and it will make more sense as to our sensitivity. If it is a work thing than you really won't need to work to get that fixed but do make sure it looks okay on each browser, my home MS and FIrefox look like the following (I couldn't fit all of it in the picture so there is white space above and the two paypal lines I copy and pasted below in the attachment (if this forum doesn't allow the attachment I will email it to you).
