Nerve block doctors
Hi, my name is Brittany and I use to to come on this site about five years ago. I was a patient of dr. Quesada. I am extremely saddened on what happen to him. He has treated me with clitoral nerve blocks for 5 years very successfully. He is still continuing to work out some trigger points with injections. I am almost cured. Now, with what happen to dr. Quesada I do not know what to do about my continued treatment. They are simple dorsal trigger point injections that literally take a 3 minutes free handed. I have been calling local pain managment places in my state. They do pudendal nerve blocks but no one specializes in it like dr. Quesada. I think it is a easy procedure. I was Dr. Quesada's third patient ever to do dorsal free hand block and it worked very well. Can other doctors figure this out If they see my records? Thanks

I'm really sorry this sad situation has affected you Brittany. I suspect other docs could figure it out -- not sure where you live though. I've recently posted some new NE coast docs on our website -- Dr. Zhou and Dr. Chapman -- who do pudendal nerve blocks. http://www.pudendalhope.info/node/58 I've heard good things about them. They might be able to get advice from Dr. Hibner or Dr. Dellon on how to do the clitoral blocks.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

Re: Nerve block doctors
Thank you very much Violet! Last week I made a appointment with Dr. Chapman just in case I could not get something closer. I live in Connecticut. I called three hospitals near me (pain management centers) and they all do pudendal nerve blocks and trigger points which is what i get. I'm just kind of nervous because no one just specializes in pelvic pain like Dr. Quesada. I hope he is ok.
Re: Nerve block doctors
Brittany, I don't know if Dr. Chapman does trigger point injections. If you can get them locally that would be a lot easier than traveling clear to NYC. Please let us know how it goes for you.
Best,

Hi Brittany,
Has Elliot PMC contacted you, yet? I know they've been calling Dr. Q's patients and sending out letters in an effort to direct them. Several of his other patients have called the office to ask if there's anyone else on staff with Dr. Q's expertise. Apparently, there is.
If you haven't received a phone call or letter, I would contact the office. I agree with Violet - if you can get treated locally, it may be much easier for you.
Best regards,
Karyn
