Just wondered if anyone was familiar with this study, and if any follow-up has occured. It suggests that there are other nerves involved besides the Pudendal nerve in causing perineal pain.

Yes nomowork, it is on the home page here, although I don't know of any follow up to this particular study.
There are so many nerves running through the pelvis including the 3 branches of the pudendal nerve of course so it makes diagnosis extremely difficult.
I think Dr Dellon has more to say about the PFCN in his chapter 12 and does some specific pelvic nerve blocks other than pudendal. The cluneal nerves can also be involved

gives quite a good description of other nerves that can be involved in pelvic pain in Chapter 6.
I know that the team in Nantes have done decompression surgery for the cluneal nerve (not sure which one or all??) and possibly the PCFN (not 100% about that one)
I have sciatic, pudendal, middle and inferior cluneal (probably) and PFCN nerves involved at piriformis level and hope to have surgery in France at some stage.
