I have been using a foam roller and a tennis ball to beat tense muscles. Are there any other devices that anyone uses for this?

I use the roller from this manufacturer, which is good for any part of the thigh if you need that area done; they also have other products I haven't used:

I'm not sure which muscles you are targeting? mine are buttock ones, as in piriformis.
I did buy a slimming belt some time ago (not expensive) it had a few 'lumps' in it that buzzed. I wrap it around my p muscle area with one of the soon to be buzzing lumps located exactly where it hurts most. I can get it dug right in 'the spot' pressed up against the kitchen worktop (counter top USA I think) It hurts but it helps long(ish) term.
I have looked on line but the ones that seem to be available now are far superior to the type I have. They are all flat and neoprene. Mine has lumps sticking out at intervals. As said cheap as!
Take care,
Helen

Hi yes i did use different devices eg tennis balls etc but nothing can beat a gooood massage therapist , no elbows [ these are only lazy therapists ] , my massage therapist was on the Olympic swim team ,he never uses elbows as he say you have no sense of touch with elbows , good luck finding a good one , as i saw saw a lot of crappy therapists , 99 % are hopeless and don't have a clue and that's all therapists include physios and doctors as well , I just wish they would say this is not my field of expertise or i have some experience , as there are soooo many therapists /doctors /physios etc that don't have a clue and just want your $$$$$$$ , they have forgotten the first rule DO NO HARM .
