Hello, i'm 20 years old male from London. It's awkward to talk about this but over 3 years ago i did something to my Penis but i'm not sure if that is related to the problems i'm experiencing now.

I have very tense pelvic floor. I don't have any numbness and it's often painful when sitting, more like burning (my groin, pelvic area, butt)
Sometimes i feel good with no pain.

The main problem i have is erections. When i get erection my pelvic muscles seems to tens up, get bigger and i can't hold the erection. Few weeks ago a done some exercises than day after i tried to have an erection and it was very good my pelvic floor was relaxed and erection was normal but it lasted only for day so i have continued to do the exercises and it didn't help anymore. I was told that it looks like pelvic problem and i should see physical therapist/pelvic specialist but than i saw this website and i'am confused. I hope i don't have the Pudendal entrapment but i'am pretty sure the pelvic problem/tension/spasm have some affects on the pudendal nerve and other nerves.

I have very mixed symptoms that are very variable, it's not always the same. Do you think i have PN or pelvic dysfunction? will the physical therapy cure my problem? it's ruining my life and it ruined my last 3 years as a teenager :(

I'm sorry it this is not the appropriate forum to talk about my problem.

Thank you.

Elindo, it's often very difficult to tell whether you have pudendal nerve entrapment or just pelvic floor dysfunction. Many people try physical therapy just to see if it will help. Sometimes PNE causes pelvic floor dysfunction so the important thing is to see a therapist who understands both problems. There are certain stretches/exercises that can make PNE worse so you have to be careful.

Best,

Violet

Have you been thoroughly physically examined for an inguinal hernia by an experienced hernia surgeon ?

Do you have pain with sitting? This is a classic symptom of pN.....

I'm sorry you are having to deal with this at such a young age. We will try to help you the best we can.

Hi, thank for the reply. Sometimes it does pain when sitting more like burning in the pelvic area, butt, groins and sometimes it doesn't pain when sitting. I can feel there is something wrong with the muscles (levator ani muscle) that is causing me the erection problems. It's very variable sometimes it's better sometimes worse...

What is hernia?? i haven't been on any physical exam just the MRI.

Elindo,
Inguinal hernia is a small opening in the inguinal canal where the intestines can bulge thru and press on the nerve, causing pain, Best way to detect this is with a dynamic ultrasound (pushing or causing pressure while being examined with sonography wand) and by physical exam of an experienced hernis surgeon.

I don't think i have hernia. There is something wrong with my anus muscle the external sphincter i believe. I often feel some kind of pressure right above the anus opening toward my lower back. I don't know if it's internal in the rectrum or some muscle. I have noticed that in the shower i tried to have an erection and the anal muscles during erection feels weird and it's causing me the dysfunction to the bulbospongiosus and ischiocavernosus muscles and as a result the dorsal vein doesn't seal to prevent blood out flow from the penis especially the penis glans. I think there are some pudendal nerves related as well. I often feel the need like to have bowel movement or gas some kind of pressure i don't know hot to describe it and also i often feel abnormal temperature sensation, sometimes cold or very hot that last few minutes like if i had cold an flu and it's coming from my back. I also have the muscle tightness and pain between my scrotum and anus, groin, butt pain when sitting etc.

Elindo, two questions:
Is your pain worse on one side?
Do you work out with weights?
