SI fixation / fusion surgery

Has anyone with PN had SI joint fusion or fixation surgery?

If so, what were the results?

I have already had pudendal nerve release surgery and 8 years later have developed a horrific case of SI joint dysfunction. It is so bad I am bedridden with it.

I don't know what to do.  I believe that the instability may be bad enough that it cannot be conservatively corrected.

I have already had 3 sessions of prolotherapy that did nothing.

Should I consider SI fixation/fusion?  I certainly don't WANT that surgery.  But u also don't want to be bedridden for the rest of my life either.

I still have PN, too. In the form of bad rectal pain.

Ideas. Suggestions. Comments.  Prayers?

Chris,
I sent you a pm. suggesting you see Vicki Sims and Dr. David Weiss in Gainesville, GA. Don't be afraid of SI fusion. If done correctly, it is truly a life saver. I know of a woman who lived in Canada, who moved to Gainesville, just to be near Dr. Weiss and Vicki. She was in a wheelchair due to SIJD. FB has a page for Sacrooiliac Joint Dysfunction/ SIJD. It may help you. Paulette
