Looking for anyone such as myself where the onset of this condition started with bilateral burning/pain over the sitz bones/ischial tuberosities without any kind of trauma, anyone?

Other symptoms have manifested themselves since then but I'm trying to figure out what the chances of any two nerves (left and right side) being irritated at the exact time??

I have burning around both of my "sit bones", but my pain (as you can see below in my signature) didn't exactly start that way. Can you tell me more about how your pain started. Were you sitting a lot and developed pain around your "sit bones"?

Yes, pain started from sitting 10hr days and riding my motorcycle on weekends. I think these two things along with my build type are what lead to this condition. If you draw a straight line from the sit bone to the tail bone, this area is tender to the touch and the burning/pain radiates out to the rest of the butt cheeks. For the first 3yrs I had this condition if I stood I wouldn't even know I had it, I do have other symptoms now but this is how everything started.

Sitting for long periods and riding a bicycle or motorcycle are risk factors for developing PN/PNE. I agree I think those who get PN are predisposed to it anatomically which is why some people can sit 10 hours a day for 30 years and never get it, but others do after only sitting half that much. Same with childbirth. There is an article by Prof. Roger Robert of France I think that talks more about how prolonged sitting/cycling can lead to PN and eventual scar tissue development in some people, but I can't seem to find it.

Do you have pain in the perineum at all or just the sit bone-tailbone area (I have pain in that area too which is in the area of Alcock's canal I believe)? If there is no perineal pain then you could have involvement of the posterior femoral cutaneous nerve. I don't know if you saw the thread I posted about that, but there is an interesting article by Dr. Hibner talking about how to diagnose these two neuralgias. http://www.pudendalhope.info/forum/view ... f=5&t=2253 Dr. Hibner talks a lot about pain being medial to the sit bones with PN. Is that where yours is? That is where most of my is, but I also get pain into my upper hamstrings at time, but I think it is more of a muscle compensation issue for me.

What treatments have you tried? Have you seen a pelvic PT or had any blocks?
