Other Nerve Entrapments Mimick Pudendal Nerve Entrapment
Here is a great link to a website discussing other nerves like the genitofemoral nerve (which the genito branch of that reaches your genital area), the Ilioinguinal Nerve, and muscles such as the Psoas muscle and entrapments that can cause some similar problems that Pudendal nerve entrapments do. http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/1234809-overview Remember the key before surgery is what is the exact diagnosis so try to rule everything out.

Thanks for the helpful link, Shawn.
Athlete until pain started in 2001. Diagnosed with PN in Nov. 2010. Probable cause: 3 difficult labors, 5 pelvic surgeries for endometriosis, and undiagnosed hip injuries. 60% better after 3 rounds of shockwave therapy in Cornwall, Ontario (Dec - Feb/12). 99% better after bilateral hip scopes for FAI and labral tears (April and July/12). Pelvic pain life coach Lorraine Faendrich helped me overcome the mind/body connection to chronic pain: http://www.radiantlifedesign.com

Fall 2008. Misdiagnosed with lumber spine problem. MRN June 2010 indicated pudendal entrapment at Alcocks canal. Diagnosed with complex variant piriformis syndrome with sciatic, pudendal and gluteal entrapment's by Dr Filler 2010.Guided piriformis botox injection 2011 Bristol. 2013, Nerve conduction test positive; new spinal MRI scan negative, so diagnosed for the 4th time with pelvic nerve entrapment, now recognised as Sciatic, pudendal, PFCN and cluneal nerves at piriformis level.

Interesting reading. I was also considering that my problems might be related to genitofemoral nerve, becuase I have pains at the base of penis, but not worsened with sitting. The pain is constant, most severe at the places where penis is attaching the body.
But my urologist said that my problems are more probably attributed to pudendal nerve than any other nerve. /e.g. sex significantly aggravates the pain, but not immediately, but 2-3 days later/.
Still not having clear cut confirmed that I have PNE, but the probablity is rather high.

flyer28,
I haven't been around here too long, but it is rare that you don't have the sitting pain. I thought we all had it!
Hope you can get a diagnosis and some treatment soon.
