scar tissue /nerve entrapment

Post by Krisssy »

My Potter MRI says that I have scar tissue in two areas of the pudental nerve. Is that the same as entrapment? Krisssy

It could mean that. Often scar tissue entraps the nerve.
PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

Hi Violet

Can scar tissue from a previous operation be removed? I think that I have the same problem as Krissy. I've decided to go the same route as her. I'm awaiting an appointment with Dr Hibner as Dr bautrat, inspite of speaking to him, has shown no interest in sending me promised information. I'm just concerned about whether Dr Hibner will be in a position to remove scar tissue that arose from a previous operation.Has anyone gone through this process?

Linkey,

Dr. Hibner is an excellent surgeon and STRONG believer in re-do surgeries. I would suggest contacting him asap if you consider him. Aren't you in S. Africa? He may talk to you on the phone or over email since you are so far away. The office number is 602.406.6017. yes I have it memorized!!!

Scar tissue which is around the nerve, resulting from previous surgeries, can indeed be removed. My recent surgery had a lot of that going on.

Since it is my clitoris which hurts, and the scar tissue is wrapped around the clitoral part of the pudental nerve (Potter MRI), yes I think it is scar tissue from my previous 3 colon rectal surgeries. I am anxious to see what Dr. Conway and Dr. Hibner says. Krisssy
