Fantastic news, Catherine. I'd love to catch up with Prof. Robert et al while they're down this way. Has Prof. Vancaillie been instrumental in getting them to Australia? I hope plenty of NZ medics attend. I should email Robert and see what gives.

Hello Stephanie,

Yes, Prof. Vancaillie has organised this annual seminar for 3 years running now. Dr. Bautrant has been working with him to bring more awareness and education to Australia & New Zealand. This is the first time Prof. Robert and his team will be visiting Australia.

Prof. V has also teamed up with Deborah Bush (NZ) and Susan Evans (Tasmania.) They are working together writing a document on chronic pelvic pain to be submitted to Federal and State Govt's. in Aust. & NZ.

Thanks to Prof. V we are beginning to see changes for the better although they have a long way to go to convince other doctors that pudendal nerve pain is real. I'm very happy to see Dr. Vincent Tse will be addressing pelvic pain in men. As Vanessa and I are running a support group we're allowed to attend. Would be so nice for you to see Prof. Robert again. Are you feeling any better these days Stephanie? Is the chronic fatigue still a major problem? I do hope things are improving for you. I'm doing ok, still have pain but very minimal and stable. Sometimes it flares horribly but it settles down again in a few days. Getting on with life despite the discomfort. It feels good to call it 'discomfort' as oppose to 'intolerable' I'm planning on having a long holiday to the UK and Ireland next year. Will have to travel business class as sitting for the laung haul will definitely cause too much pain. I'm going to enjoy myself no matter what. Put PN on the backburner for a while.

Perhaps we could catch up in Sydney, Feb. 2012

Catherine

Hi Catherine,
It's good to know you're doing well. Yes, it would be great to catch up in Sydney. That awful fatigue is lessening, at last, and I'm in a low-pain phase at the moment (as long as I don't sit etc). I can't believe how light I feel!
