We received a request from Dr. Attaman to be listed on the HOPE website. I have asked him to invite his patients to post their experiences on the forum. His license is current with the State of Washington with no actions against it.
Dr Attaman is a doctor of osteopathy in Seattle, WA who is fellowship trained and board certified in Interventional Pain Management and residency trained and board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He performs pudendal nerve blocks with ultrasound and fluoroscopic guidance. He also performs pulsed radiofrequency treatment and botox injections of the pudendal nerve. Re: Dr. Attaman
I phoned Dr. Attaman's office and got voicemail only. Left a message a few weeks ago with my name and number; no reply.
So I sent an email one week ago. Still no reply. His website does not mention pelvic pain at all. I don't know why he wants to be listed here, if he doesn't have the courtesy to reply to inquiries.
Has anyone else had any contact with this guy?

Re: Dr. Attaman
I had my one an only nerve block done by him in July 2011. Can't imagine why he or rather his office has not responded to you.
Re: Dr. Attaman
How did your visit and procedure go with Dr. Attaman? I am considering seeing him.

Re: Dr. Attaman
Hi Tyro,
I decided not to have anymore nerve blocks because from everything I read on this website, nerve blocks are more of a diagnostic tool than a cure. My former M.D. told me he had a nerve in his neck that was giving him trouble and it took him 3 nerve blocks before he got better.
My nerve block was positive for pn/pne. I have to say it really hurt when the needle went in but other people have reported it didn't bother them at all. I was gloriously numb for 2 days. Dr. Attaman gave me a extra amount of anesthetic because he knew we were going to take 2 days to drive back home, which was very kind of him.
I'm not cured. I still have very mild pn. I'm hoping to get better with time. Good luck Tyro. I think Attaman is a compassionate Dr. Please let us know how things go for you.

Re: Dr. Attaman
I'm sorry about your experience. At that time, we were having problems with our new patient coordinator. We now have a new, full time coordinator and all new patient inquiries are answered promptly. I would like to assure anybody considering contacting my office that you will be responded to promptly.White Falcon wrote:I phoned Dr. Attaman's office and got voicemail only. Should be renamed Dr Attaman forum!!! Hope his many opinions help people reading this forum just seems a little unbalanced reading all his responses. In no way do I mean to seem disparaging just seems funny when you log on and every post has his name attached. Hope it helps those in USA be good though to hear from forward thinking uk based professionals

Re: Dr. Attaman
Just to clarify, this is a section of the forum specific to Dr. Attaman. I think everyone can understand that is what Dr. Attaman is referring to -- not the entire pudendalhope.org forum.
