Many have no clue about PN, really. It's very odd to me.

Hi there!
It took 8 years, running from one doctor to another, to finally diagnose PN and pelvic floor dysfunction.
My OB/GYN blocked me from his schedule because I came to him with my problem, and he thought I was absolutely crazy. All my tests came back negative, and visually he couldn’t see anything wrong with me.
I would say, please take some time to research who is most knowledgeable about PN in your area. Usually, it's a urologist. Go for an appointment, ask questions, and if he/she has never heard of PN, leave and go to another one.
Wish you luck!

I had the same experience with gyns who do not specialize in pelvic pain and the doctor I see at this time related to my pelvic pain is also a urologist. I know of some people who have had good luck with urogyns recognizing PN symptoms, so that is a n option too. I'm glad you found someone who has an understanding of the condition.
