Cipro and Other Medications That Could Worsen Pudendal Neuralgia

Not to be an alarmist, but I was surprised to recently read about someone who had their pain return after taking Cipro, a commonly prescribed antibiotic.

I checked it out, and it turned out that apparently there are several drugs where the risks and benefits have to be considered before taking them if you have PN or PNE.

I also read that stating, specifically Atorvastatin, can lessen the chances of a nerve being able to heal from damage.

I'm hoping to have RF ablation soon, and am thinking of taking a break from it afterwards. However, ablation causes intententionall damage to nerve fibers that transmit pain, so hindering regrowth might be a good thing.

NEVER discontinue or refuse to take a medicine based solely on internet posts, like this one. Always talk to your doctor first.
