i guys,
I just recently joined this site and kind of just looking advice, appreciate any comments, so I'll just outline what happened to me below.

MY Symptoms manifested about 1 year ago and at first I didn't have a clue what was happening as they seemed like a variety of different issues all directly started at the one time. There seems to be a variety of issues that I' suffered from and they've honestly made by life hell. Just outlining them:An aching constant pain without the anal area, the feeling after excretion
Urinary issues: feeling of burning pain when urinating, stop start urination, certainly like I have to start urinate more.
A tight pelvic floor- I wouldn't have even know what is was previously or noticed it, but now its a constant.
penial issues- sensory change within the penis (colder), loss of erections ,morning wood.

All of these symptoms started during a sexual act, when the penis was yanked hard at the base. I distinctly remember it feeling different/colder and releasing urine minutes after and noticing the changes with regards my pelvic muscles.

Due to the fact that there was several different symptoms, I tried a variety of doctors at the time, was seen for hemorrhoids. I seen a urologist who didn't really understand when I explained what started the symptoms, a pelvic floor specialist who did give me exercised that seemed to help a small bit, but nothing huge. Pelvic floor mri just by a general radiologist which showed my pelvic muscles , they seemed to be okay.

It wasn't till by half chance that I spoke to a pudendal neuralgia specialist, that he was quite confident i had the symptoms of it. I spoke to him and he believes the nerve is entrapped somehow. I spoke to Doctor Azmann from Vienna about it just to get a second opinion, and he thinks the same and said he is certain . Though he hasn't been great at coming back to me to be honest with appointments

I as just wondering what would you suggest. I was taken of getting a proper mri done specifically to see if a nerve was entrapped to see, as previously I just got a standard basic one for my pelvic floor? how would I go about that doing that? I'm in Europe and would have no problem travelling at this stage, anywhere to be honest?  would there be any particular nerve to look for? or would there be any other suggestions you would make. It does feel like my penis is 'strangled' and it does get a stinging pain on the lower back of it at times, after masturbation for example it would throb almost like its trying to break free, if that makes sense and you would feel the anal or pelvic floor area moving. Apologies for the essay.

IHello Archie,

I don't know the best place in Europe to get a pelvic mri. Hopefully a forum member from Europe can tell you. In the US, the Hollis Potter protocol gives some of the best visualization of the nerves but I'm not sure if anyone in Europe uses her protocol. You could check with her office to see if they know. Contact info here: https://www.pudendalhope.info/united-st ... icians/#NY (scroll down to Hollis Potter).

But I think it's important not to delay seeing a pudendal neuralgia specialist while you are working on getting an mri. An mri is generally not considered the most important diagnostic tool for confirming a diagnosis of pudendal neuralgia or pudendal nerve entrapment, so you would be wise to see a specialist, no matter what the mri results are.
