yeah Helen my trash - talking has come back to haunt me...now I need to chase you
pelvic pain started 1985 age 14 interstitial cystitis. Refused medical care from age 17, did GREAT with self care for years.
2004 PN started gradually, disabled by 2009. Underlying cause SIJD & Tarlov cysts
improved with PT & meds: neurontin, valium, nortriptyline, propanolol. (off nortriptyline & propanolol now, yay!)
Tarlov cyst surgery with Dr. Frank Feigenbaum March 20, 2012.
Results have been excellent so far; but I won't know my final functional level for a couple of years.

Thanks girls,
Think that was the easy week. . . . . but once I get determined. . . and with all of you watching me when I skulk towards the fridge, just to let you know I am watching you too. :) Put That extra biscuit BACK! !
Fall 2008. Misdiagnosed with lumber spine problem. MRN June 2010 indicated pudendal entrapment at Alcocks canal. Diagnosed with complex variant piriformis syndrome with sciatic, pudendal and gluteal entrapment's by Dr Filler 2010.Guided piriformis botox injection 2011 Bristol. 2013, Nerve conduction test positive; new spinal MRI scan negative, so diagnosed for the 4th time with pelvic nerve entrapment, now recognised as Sciatic, pudendal, PFCN and cluneal nerves at piriformis level.

Well I walked 2 miles this morning even before coffee because of you! We both have just the right personality for this "group pressure" thing ;)

Hi Ladies (and Gents if there are any lurking here)

I have great admiration for you people who are losing weight while dealing with PNE at the same time. ;)

Just saw Dr. Joel Furhman on TV today and what he is saying makes more sense than anyone I've ever heard on the subject of losing weight. He says it's not about going on a diet and losing weight -- it's about making a lifestyle change. Check out his food pyramid:

http://www.drfuhrman.com/library/foodpyramid.aspx

One of his mottos is: "The salad is the main dish". There are lots of fun high nutrient/low calorie foods you can put on salad. My favorite is strawberries, blueberries, mandarin oranges, and cashews on a large plate of greens.

I'm cheering all of you on! :D
PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

Helen you better watch your back woman, I have already lost 4 more pounds since Saturday...still not excercising as i should just in manic mode with STUPID INSURANCE and Doctors and work and housekeeping and entertaining the kids for summer break, not time to eat...but if I ever get the time all I have to do is think of you and that kills the hunger ;)

Oh dear I am not looking forward to Saturday, I think I have actually gained a bit as the jeans are tighter. :( I am not getting on the scales just yet!

My son's illness continues, it is hard for him that it is taking so long to subside, and I am still short of sleep and drinking too much coffee, but I have been careful with my eating this week - and now I am gaining weight? Not fair.

Can I blame the fact that I am increasing the Lyrica, I wonder? I have just taken it up to 125mg.

Well I'm far too busy with my mothers appeal, chronologically compiling information for my imminent tribunal and painting my toes nails that I have forgotten where the fridge is !!! ;)
That's such a lie, this week has been tougher. . . but I remain undaunted (and probably fat) . . . we will find out on Saturday !!!!!

I think I am going to be the biggest gainer  let alone biggest loser. I don't know if I dare get on the scales on Saturday.
