Just want you all to know that 3 months out from decompression surgery and I no longer have pain with my menstrual cycle.
I also had varicose veins in my vagina that I had removed so I'm not sure if that helped as well.
Thought this was important to share.

Good luck getting cured.

I use bromamine which is all natural and can be found at health food stores (whole foods) in my area.
IBprophen can also be used in high doses(600 mg) but I like the all natural stuff myself.

Good luck

Kathy,
Do you think it was the bromamine that helped you over come the pain and discomfort?

Bromamine helped with period cramping before surgery, but I don't need pills anymore.

Before surgery I had varicose veins in my vagina and the PNE and obturator entrapments had everything so inflamed that a period was just more inflammation.
I'm 3 months out from surgery and don't have those issues now so I take no anti inflammatories and don't have pain at all.

I just have a period like a 'normal' person does I guess.

The only think I feel now during my period is a heightened sex drive and I have heard this is 'normal' for regular women so I'm very excited and proud to be 'normal' in that way.

I just wanted to share this since curing all the related conditions of entrapments just doesn't seem possible until the nerves are able to move as they are supposed to.

I also have friends that had varicose veins removed vaginally after births and things and that helped with their vaginal pain as well.

Just want everyone as informed as possible when it comes to PNE

Good Luck

Kathy

I have had a supressed cycle for over a year now. But when I did have it, my pain was the week following my period. It would come in episodes a couple hours apart and last for about twenty minutes. But the pain was severe, it would knock me off my feet, I couldn't think, by far the worse pain I have ever indured.

I'm so glad that you found some help from hormonal suppression. It seems like it could only help to try it, and I'm glad it worked for you (even though it won't be the answer for everyone).

I'm not sure if anyone will read this since this thread is so long but I have a question.

I started my period at age 11 and my PN got way worse after that.

From age 17 - 18 I bleed 3 weeks a month. I had 3 DNCs and the docs never figured out what the cause was.

I finally used acupuncture and Eastern herbs to cure it.

Do any of you ladies have crazy, unexplained bleeding before your PN kicked in?

Just trying to figure out if there is a connection.

What are the causes and remedy for abnormal menstruation? My girlfriend, has abnormal menstruation, she have experienced almost a month or half a year, in mestruation only? Actually, during this time, the blood seems, just spots, but it is constantly occuring but just in small amounts. It is continous, and the highest time it occured is almost half a year? What are the causes of these and what is the remedy?
