Mom, I home schooled both my boys up through high school (except for calculus, physics, and chemistry   ). They are both very smart, very accomplished, and have tons of friends so I see absolutely no drawbacks other than the time and commitment involved for you. Send me a PM if you have any questions.

PT 1/20/2011

We had Pt today. We have been doing the bridges and Butt sqeezes through the week. Hip seemed to hold alignment this week :)
We started another excersice..the wall slide. Just trying to build strength in the glutes. She said during massgae that her right hip was moving around alot, and T said she could feel it moving when pushed on. PT does want her hip moving that much so we nned to try and tighten up the muscles in that area.
Very itchy today, rainy heavy snow though. Or maybe the exercises IDK

Her spirits are good though :D

does her hip ever click or pop? Mine does, and I found out I have a labral hip tear (visible somewhat in my last 3t mri). I am going for a 3T mri locally of just my hips to be sure how severe it is. some people are tying labral hip tears with PN.

That is interesting because my hips pop a lot. I don't know what is causing it. I thought maybe tight IT bands. I've also read about snapping hip syndrome which can include labral hip tears as well as tight IT bands or snapping from the ilopsoas tendon. I have had a normal pelvic mri that didn't show anything, but I am considering getting a 3T MRI by Potter this year. Do you know why exactly they think labral hip tears might be related to PN? Have you seen any medical journal articles talking about this?

My pain defintely seems to flare with the barometric pressure changes of snow/rain. I think this is common in a lot of pain conditions (from arthritis to fibromyalgia). Maybe this has already been mentioned but has any doctor thought that some of your daughter's pain might be premenarchal hormonal related? Have you by chance kept a record of her pain levels and noticed if she has flares at particular times of the month? I can't remember your daughter's exact age, but I am thinking 7? I know that is young, but there are girls who start there period very early these days and I have heard of girls getting migraine headaches that start a couple years before their period starts, but it tends to be cyclical. Just a thought. My pain seems very hormonally driven sometimes. Hormones can be a cause of so many ailments these days. Maybe it is from all those chicken hormones we eat! :)

Hi Faith,
This is where I first learned of it: http://www.pudendalhope.info/forum/view ... p?f=9&t=69
and these two articles informed me further:
http://www.conquestchronicles.com/pages ... l-tear-hip
http://www.hipfai.com/
I read that RJR on the forum had a labral tear but opted for TG surgery for his PN instead, whereas Bridget opted for labral repair first. Not sure yet what is the best choice, but trying to learn as quick as I can.

Interesting about the hip. I think she did say that it pops sometimes. She had never mentioned it until the PT pushed on her and she siad " I can feel it moving around in there" (kids)

I have not documented headaches I need to though, and we eat ALOT of chicken
Itch always seems worse when the barometric pressure changes. I think when it lowers?? I need to document more reg. on that as well.

We have PT now every week leading up to our appt. with Dr. Hibner in April. ( which ins does not cover) I am looking into seeing if anyone here does the 3T MRI b/c ins. will cover it here but not out of state. And then I could send the Cd to Dr. Hibner. ?????
We are also putting the MRI on the calender with Dr. Hibner just incase we can't get it done here.
I trust my God.....

Dear Mom, This is my very first post. I have been a silent reader until now while I have been asking God to show me a way to my cure from this most humbling illness. My search for a cure is different from yours only because I am the one physically suffering in silence instead of, praise be to God, my 2 daughters. We are similar because my search for a cure is actually for my daughters. I was diagnosis with pundendal and ilioinguinal neuralgia after suffering in silence for 13 months. I like many on this site saw many medical professional, as you now know this condition is rare. Even most E.R. Docs,GYN's, internist, chiropractors, orthopedics, urologists and most P.T.s can not diagnosis it. At one point my own doctor after doing C.T.s MRIs and blood work felt it was in my head. I am I retired nurse. I knew how it happened, I knew it was a nerve issue and politely told him, I would not pick this part of my body to have a fake illness in. With the medical community not able to help me I put my trust in God. I knew his will was to heal me, many powerful prayer warriors told me so as I went after church each Sunday to our soaking prayer stations. Each time the answer was the same your healing will come. Not just yet, I am using this time to strengthen your faith and teach you lessons. I believed God could heal me from the very 1st prayer, he showed me over the last two years if he did I would be the only one he healed with that prayer. So I only asked God to help me to endure the daily pain with a happy heart and smile on my face until the day he chose for me to be healed. God kept his promise(as he says he will) and I have been told that my silent witnessing to others over the last 2 years has been how I kept mine. As I mentioned my search for a cure was for my two girls. Like you I do not want them to ever have to suffer the way that I have. My pelvic pain specialist who finally gave me a name to my 13 months of very painful and embarrassing symptoms in my female private part, rectum, bladder, and uncomfortable sensations to my whole left side of my body, pelvic joint misalignment and more changed the way I looked at this illness. While I knew exactly how my injury happen from a car accident he told me it could be hereditary. That is the day my illess become personal to me. It was no longer just about me and the so many others of us who suffer with very little relief and certainly no hope insight for a cure, it was now about my children, your daughter and all the other children out there who have a parent saying Dear God why didn't you let it be me! So I asked god to show me a way to find a cure to make sence of how this happens to some of us and to lead me to someone who could fix it. For me, for my daughters and daughters like yours. He lead me to this website. Upnto that point I was unable to sit to use a computer and could not use the Internet to find any info out. A dear Christian friend felt strongly that I should look on line at this sight and provided me with a just released I pad. This allowed me the time while laying in bed for the pain to subside to read the info on this site. I knew God was leading me to a cure. One persons posts drew me in. I knew nothing about her but her name. Her Majesty! I felt a connection to her. While I have enjoyed reading everyones posts for some reason I connected with her the most. I had a feeling she would have the answer God was leading me to and my feeling was right. It was a post regarding The Hesch Method. I had not heard of it before, my pelvic pain P.T.,chiropractor and internist hadn't heated of it either. But for some reason God was leading me back to her posts. I share this with you because your daughters symptoms and misalignment problems are much like mine. My symptoms are also increased with bad weather and barometric pressure. I prayered about and researched the Hesch Method and had my P.T.,chiro and trusted prayer warriors do the same. We all watched the u tube videos of the very gentle and patient man with a God given ability to heal people. We all found Jerry Hesch and the Hesch Method to be the answer to our prayers. I spoke with Jerry via phone many times. I knew he was Gods answer. My P.T. And chiro in an attempt to elevate pain from sitting during travel tried to simulate the Hesch Method and while my P.T. Came the closest in giving me 10 days with significantly decreased symptoms but as soon as the alignment was out of place again the symptoms where back full force level 7-10. That is the day I made my appointment and plane flight to fly to Nevada. You can't beat a master at his trade and I knew God wanted me in Jerrysvhands so He could finish the healing he promised. I went to the bright man. I was literally in the arms of God himself. Jerry is not only a P.T. He is a man who has dedicated 30 years of his own life to fix the unfixable. I have spent 2 years of my life in doctors offices, chiro, P.T. Massage therapist, physiatrists every week up to 5 times a week. Jerry evaled, treated, corrected, filmed and educated me in 5 sessions. Totaling 7 hours with film for me to take home! The cost was a meat drop in the bucket to the thousands I have spent out of pocket with no cure in site. My accident was traumatic and forceful that is why it took 5 treatments most people are corrected in 3. So how do I feel? No pains from the treatment. I can tell my body is back to the way God made me. Half of my symptoms are already gone and the other half, although believed could take up to 6weeks to subside have already gone away and given me the most relief and time without any pain that I have had in over2 years! All praise and Glory to God the father,Son and Holy Spirit. Mom, you do not have to take my advice, I do not know where God is leading you. I only know that God knew I would be persistent in finding someone to help many more like me. Who were told the would have to suffer in silence for the rest of their life, have surgery, nerve blocks, live on meds and mantience programs with still no cure insight. I believe God lead me to Jerry Hesch at Hesch instate so I could be a witness to others in search of relief and a cure to their condition. If it were my daughter I would call Jerry. You will find that he is a very honest.patient man. His nurse Karen is wonderful too. Jerry will not treat your daughter or take your money ifbhe thinks he can not help. I did not feel my route was surgery or blocks or other invasive treatments. His method is gentle very little discomfort if any I believe he can help your daughter like he helped me. I believe surgery is the only option for some but in your daughters case and mine and anyone else out there with pelvic instability The Hesch Methos should be tried first. I prayed for a cure,God sent me to Jerry. Pray about it and see what God is telling you. I will keep you and your dear daughter in my prayers. I know you will do what is best. From one mom to another. Many blessings and peace, miracle@work

These connections are all so interesting. I've been diagnosed by three doctors as having IT band syndrome. My right hip pops in certain positions and always have low level pain. An orthopedic surgeon told me I had bursitis and weak gluteal muscles. I need to investigate having a hip MRI and the labral tear connection to pelvic pain!
