Stretching isn't necessarily what a PT will have you do. They can evaluate you for pelvic misalignment, strained ligaments, pelvic floor tension, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, etc. If you have a nerve entrapment, you do not want to be stretching because you could cause a stretch injury to the nerve. It could temporarily make your muscles feel better but over time it can damage the nerve. That is what happened to me. So be careful with the stretching.
Surgery was definitely the answer for me but I agree with April that it is a last resort after you try conservative treatments and if everything in your diagnosis points to an entrapment including your histroy, physical exam, and diagnostic tests.

Erectile Dysfunction might be Pudendal Neuralgia
Re: Erectile Dysfunction might be Pudendal Neuralgia
PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
