PNA 2015 Patient Conference

Violet, I guess my confusion came when I went to the Pudendal Neuralgia Association website because when I read the "About Us/Contact Us" the goals are focused towards patients and not physicians. I did know the 2014 conference allowed physicians to get CME credits. Thanks for the clarification.

I'm sure you are right, nyt. I was just recalling the brochure from the 2014 conference and I know they were offering CME's to physicians. I went as an RN but they did not provide CE's for RN's. There were only a few patients there. Most attendees were healthcare professionals including quite a number of PT's.

I have another idea for the meeting. Many of us have anal rectal problems that either result in constipation or fecal incontinence that have little to do with the medications we take. The American Gastroenterological Association has recently published two papers on the evaluation and treatment of anal rectal disorders. It might be nice to have one of them come and talk about the evaluation and treatment options for these disorders. Arnold Wald, MD, MACG, from the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, Wisconsin would be a good one to consider as he is quite well known in the field and has be named as one of America Best Doctors for 3 years.

I do think it would be nice if some of the gastroenterologist interested in these anorectal disorders would collaborate with some of the PN doctors for a better understanding how to treat those disorders of PN origin.
