I will be having my surgery a week from tomorrow.. Jan.5 The information sheet he gave me states that I will be doing the gliding exercises for two years... VIolet I like your explanation of
this as I did not know what it meant.. I will be finding our next week after surgery.... I will pray for all of you if you pray for me.. :D ... Best to all of you Ellie

this is EXACTLY the movement that causes me great sharp pain on both sides.
Would this mean my PN nerve is not gliding?
does this affect, or is affected directly by the PN nerve?

My understanding is that gliding exercises are recommended after PNE surgery -- I think if it causes you pain you want to avoid it because if the nerve is entrapped it's not going to glide easily and you could be causing a stretch injury.
