Does the clinic in CO have any statistics on the success for PNE, Paulette?

I don't know if they have any data on hydrodissection. I am going to e-mail Dr. Hansen, who does the pudendal nerve stuff and ask if he has any stats on the success of it. I am also going to ask him if he would be willing to do it on me. Might give me more information. I will let you know what he says.

Thank you for the website on hydrodissection. It was very informative. Dr. Hanson e-mailed me and said he has only done 5-6 hydrodissections on the pudendal nerve. He said 2/3 continue to do well. I asked about risks. He said they are the same as for any injection, mainly damage to the nerve. I would guess that risk is just as high in surgery as it is in this procedure. He also said it was a difficult procedure, because the nerve is difficult to visualize with the MSK ultrasound and follows a tortuous route. But he said he would go as fas as he could go safely.

I did have this procedure and it help a lot, and I have continued to get a little better slowly over time since. I have thought about having this procedure again, but haven't yet. Make sure they use Sarapin in the solution if you have it done. Also make sure it is done by ultrasound or CT guidance, preferably ultrasound.

Did you have the procedure done with Dr Hansen or elsewhere?

Is it fairly non invasive?

I had the procedure in Vermont with Dr. Fenton DO... very non invasive.
