Re: can someone suggest pain relief

Pain relief ideas are really difficult because neuropathic pain is the most difficult type of pain to treat (according to my former pain doc). Typically a combination of drugs such as lyrica or gabapentin along with an antidepressant like elavil and something like clonazepam work the best for people with urinary symptoms. You could also try an opioid for when you are out and can't use ice but over time opioids lose their effectiveness so I always tried to only use them when I thought I was about to go insane. I never had a cystoscopy but like Karyn, surgery significantly reduced my distressing urinary symptoms.

Best,

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
