Tim,

Just wanted to offer a warm welcome. We have all been on journeys to find answers and treatment. Once you start poking around on the forums you will find more and more information. Your symptoms sound suspiciously of PN, and weighlifting is a common source of this neuralgia.

Violet,

Once again, thank you for all the information. I am still waiting on my neurologist to send over the script for me to see the occupational therapist. She said she specializes in pelvic floor conditions and is knowledgable of PN, so i think this is at least a good start. I will keep you all posted on what she says and see if you all think it makes sense. Oh i almost forgot!!! the gabapentin seems to finally be working. I am in much less pain and able to function like a normal person for the most part. I can go to work and out to eat, but if i push it too hard my body lets me know. Anyway, just wanted to share the good news. i am not completely pain free, but i am just happy to have some relief from symptoms.

Always good to hear something positive Tim. Hope the occupational therapist works out for you too, fingers crossed.

Hi Tim,

I'm glad the gabapentin is helping you. Just be careful with the therapy. I saw an OT before I knew my diagnosis and I think the stretches she recommended pushed me over the edge into full-blown PNE. Let us know how it goes for you. ;)
