Here we can discuss difficulties with comfort in sitting and normal living - cushions, bicycle seats, car seats, work stations etc.

Whoever is trying to work while laying down on the stomach, please be careful, and be very moderate about it. I spent a few years trying to work exclusively that way, and ultimately ended up damaging ( and entrapping) the ulnar nerve on both arms. ( due to the weight transfer on to the elbows, inspite of using pillows ). Keep changing the postures if you need to work - do not put the weight on any specific body part like hip, elbows etc. Standing a lot may be better if that is possible, because legs were designed to do that anyway. The butt is meant to a core weight bearing part and since PNE robs us of that functionality, we need to be careful about throwing the body weight on body parts that were not meant to carry excessive load over long periods of time.
PN symptoms since 1988. Full blown PN and sciatica since 2004. Diagnosed with sacral arachnoid cyst S1-S4 in 2006.
2008- 2015: Conservative management of symptoms by reduced sitting, avoiding physical strain, meditation etc.
2015-Jun 2019 Bedridden due to pain, wasting and weakness.
Jul 2019- Trying to find my way out. Scheduled for likely sacral cyst and cervical meningocele surgeries in feb 2020.

I really like my airdesk. You can get a tall one for your bed or a shorter one for a couch. It's not very expensive and you can't fit a printer or pc on it but it's great for a laptop or ipad. You can use bungee cords to hold the ipad or laptop on.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

srinmav, thank you for posting this. I am sorry that you now have issues with your arms. Changing postures often, taking breaks, is so important. I still love my "couch" office, but I am trying to vary my positions and time myself when I am on the computer so that I don't spend too long.

I am building a new adjustable height desk at home it uses a winch to change the height so i can stand and work easier.

This is my office at work, it helps but i still can only use it an hour at a time and then the arm can swing and i can stand and use my laptop.
