MEDS MEDS MEDS! Getting on the right medication allows us to live and think about something other than the diagnosis and the pain. I hope you can continue to keep your pain levels low and enjoy life. That is what we all strive for .

Hi,

How much do other folk's pain scale range?

In response to your question...My pain is mostly a constant annoyance, but some days it is worse. I wish I could figure out why it is so random. A constant annoyance doesn't sound so bad and I do consider myself lucky, however I just wish this annoyance was my knee, elbow, leg...anything but vagina! When I do have a flare up of pain, it seems that my gabapentin and a hot bath works to lessen it. I know I am different in the sense that heat helps, but that is just what does it for me.

I hope you find a good Dr and some meds that will help you.

Best wishes,
Gracie

Not sure what pain scale you use but I find this one to be the most descriptive: http://pudendalhope.org/node/18

Using that scale my pain was a 7 or 8 without meds -- between a 4 and 7 with meds.
PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
